Synergy Bank Announces Officer Promotions

Synergy Bank’s board of directors recently named promotions within bank leadership. Julia Filce, Matthew Ortego, and Sarah Rhodes were named Vice Presidents. Krystal Brunet and Nicole Gil were named Assistant Vice President, while Leslie Maya was named Banking Officer. The announcement was made by Jerry P. Ledet, Jr., Synergy Bank President.

Julia Filce has served in numerous key roles at Synergy during her 25-year tenure including Human Resources Coordinator, Auditor, Teller Coordinator and her current role as Executive Secretary. Julia graduated from Nicholls State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She has 43 years of banking experience.

Matthew “Matt” Ortego currently serves as Commercial Lender at our Tunnel Office. He began with Synergy 15 years ago as a Credit Analyst. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University and is also a graduate of Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

Sarah Rhodes, Compliance Officer and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer, joined Synergy Bank in July 2011. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Nicholls State University. Sarah also earned the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation.

Krystal Brunet has worked at Synergy Bank for 10 years. Having experience as a loan assistant and branch manager, Krystal currently serves as the Director of Loan Operations. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Nicholls State University.

Joining Synergy Bank in 2014, Nicole Gil serves as Deposit Operations Supervisor. She has earned both the Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and National Check Professional (NCP) Certifications. Nicole has 17 years of banking experience.

Leslie Maya has 7 years of banking experience. Leslie has served as a Loan Processor and Loan Assistant and was recently promoted to Consumer Lender at our New Roads Office.
